Our stay at the YMCA of the Rockies was filled with adventure and family bonding in a beautiful setting. The variety of activities kept us busy all week, making it a great spot for our family vacation. The room was comfortable, but the dining experience could use some improvement, particularly at breakfast. Overall, it was a fantastic value for fun outdoor experiences and quality family time.

Rooms
8.0
Our cabin was modern, comfortable, and equipped with essential amenities. However, it was quite far from the main activities on site.
Service
7.0
Service was generally good, but there were times when the dining area felt congested and disorganized, especially during peak hours.
Location
10.0
The location was excellent, providing easy access to hiking trails and adventure activities in the National Park.
Dining
5.0
While there were some decent meal options, the breakfast buffet was chaotic and the food itself left something to be desired.
Facilities
9.0
The recreational facilities were outstanding, with plenty of activities like mini-golf, volleyball, and organized programs for all ages.

The YMCA of the Rockies is a fantastic place for families with plenty of activities and beautiful surroundings. The rooms are spacious and clean, but some housekeeping could use improvement. Dining options are decent with a mix of offerings, but can get repetitive. Overall, it's a great choice for reconnecting with family in a fun, outdoor environment.

Rooms

The Wind River Lodge provided a clean, rustic room, though it lacked air conditioning which made for some uncomfortable nights. I appreciated the mini fridge and overall size.
Service
6.0
The service was a bit inconsistent. While some staff members were helpful, the housekeeping did not thoroughly clean our room during our stay.
Location
9.0
Located right on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park, the location is perfect for hiking and outdoor activities.
Dining
6.0
The on-site dining was okay, but I found the repetitive rice servings a bit disappointing. The café had better options.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were excellent, offering a wide range of activities for all ages and a great game room. However, the swimming pool hours were frustrating as they conflicted with scheduled activities.

YMCA of the Rockies offers a fantastic family-friendly atmosphere packed with activities for all ages. The rooms are clean and the environment encourages outdoor fun, though some dining options are limited and may not be appealing for everyone. The amenities available on-site make it a worthwhile family getaway, but be prepared for some basic accommodations without modern luxuries.

Rooms
8.0
The lodge rooms were clean, resembling bare-bones dorms with no TVs or air conditioning, yet we were comfortable with a box fan and enjoyed spending quality time together.
Service
7.0
The overall service was solid, though some dining options were lacking and limited during our stay.
Location
10.0
The location is perfect for easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park and offers stunning mountain views all around.
Dining
6.0
Dining options were basic with limited evening choices, but the Sunday brunch buffet was definitely a highlight during our stay.
Facilities
9.0
The facilities for various sports and crafts kept our family engaged, plus organized programs for kids were a big plus.

My family had a fantastic time at the YMCA of the Rockies! The variety of activities kept our kids engaged and entertained, and the beautiful natural surroundings made for a memorable vacation. While the dining experience could use some improvement, particularly the breakfast options, the overall value for money was hard to beat, especially for a family-friendly getaway. Just be aware that the accommodations are more camp-style and not luxurious.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, perfect for our family's needs.
Service

The service was decent, though there could be more training for the staff to enhance the experience.
Location

Breakfast was included, but it could use a bit more variety and quality.

6.0/10

I recently stayed at YMCA of the Rockies and had a mixed experience. While the location in the Rockies is breathtaking and there's a variety of activities for families, the dining was quite disappointing and the accommodations felt outdated. The lodge had a camp-like feel, which was nice, but certain amenities definitely need improvement to enhance the overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
The lodge we stayed in was a bit dated, but it had a unique charm. It felt more like camping than a hotel, which some guests may enjoy. The cleanliness was acceptable, but overall, I would rate the rooms a 6/10.
Service
5.0
Service was hit or miss. Some staff were friendly, but there were times when it felt like management could improve in terms of organization and guest support. I'd rate the service a 5/10.
Location
9.0
The location is simply stunning, right near Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s perfect if you love nature and hiking. I’d give the location a solid 9/10.
Dining
5.0
Dining left a lot to be desired. The buffet was overpriced and not very tasty, so I found myself seeking options elsewhere. I would rate dining a 4/10.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were extensive with many activities available, but some amenities felt neglected and needed upgrades. I would rate the facilities a 6/10.
